In the bustling district of Clifton, Bristol, is a real diamond of a pub: The Eldon House. Set off the beaten track on a quiet residential road, five minutes from Clifton Triangle is this characterful, traditional little pub, offering a wholesome menu and a range of excellent quality ales, lagers, ciders and wines.
The Eldon House re-opened in April 2006 under new ownersip, closely linked with Bath Ales. The decor is light and airy with many features being restored to their natural wood. There's usually a diverse selection of music playing, such as rhythm and blues, motown, reggae, folk, acoustic, up-and-coming artists and so on. Live acoustic music sessions happen every Sunday from 8pm.
The atmosphere is relaxed and conversational; it is the perfect spot to begin your weekend, or meet with friends, enjoy a top quality meal with unusual wine or an organic pint. The Sunday Roast, served 12 - 4pm, is swiftly becoming known as one of the best in the region! Children are welcome until 8pm.
